The Clemson football schedule 2026 features a demanding mix of ACC competition, a season-opening road trip to LSU and several high-profile home games at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers began the season Sept. 5 at LSU and will play 12 regular-season games, including seven at home.

Clemson’s schedule has already produced one major result: LSU defeated the Tigers 51-10 in Baton Rouge. The remaining slate includes conference games against North Carolina, California, Miami, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Duke, along with nonconference meetings with Georgia Southern, Charleston Southern and South Carolina.

With the season underway, the schedule is particularly important for Clemson as it navigates a challenging ACC slate under longtime head coach Dabo Swinney.

Clemson’s 2026 season started with LSU

The Tigers opened the season against LSU at Tiger Stadium on Sept. 5. The matchup marked Clemson’s first trip to Baton Rouge and was one of the most prominent games on the opening weekend.

Instead, LSU controlled the contest and won 51-10, leaving Clemson with an 0-1 record after Week 1.

The result immediately increased the importance of the Tigers’ remaining schedule. Clemson now has limited margin for error if it hopes to contend for the ACC championship and remain in the broader College Football Playoff conversation.

ACC schedule presents several major tests

Clemson’s conference schedule includes several games against opponents with significant postseason ambitions.

The Tigers host North Carolina on Sept. 19 before traveling west to face California on Sept. 25. The Cal game is notable because it represents Clemson’s first conference game on the West Coast, according to Clemson’s official schedule announcement.

The next major home test comes Oct. 3 against Miami. Clemson’s official schedule notes that the matchup brings together two of the ACC’s most recent College Football Playoff participants.

Later in the season, Clemson will travel to Florida State and Syracuse before hosting Georgia Tech. The Tigers then visit Duke on Nov. 20 before closing the regular season against South Carolina on Nov. 28.

Seven home games are on Clemson’s schedule

Clemson’s 2026 regular-season slate includes seven games at Memorial Stadium.

Those home opponents are Georgia Southern, North Carolina, Miami, Charleston Southern, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and South Carolina. The Tigers also have five road games, including trips to LSU, California, Florida State, Syracuse and Duke.

The home schedule gives Clemson several opportunities to respond after the difficult opening loss at LSU, although the conference portion includes multiple challenging opponents.

When is Clemson’s next game?

Following the Sept. 5 loss to LSU, Clemson returns home to face Georgia Southern on Sept. 12. The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by ACC Network, according to Clemson’s official athletics schedule.

The Tigers then host North Carolina at noon ET on Sept. 19 before traveling to California for a Friday night game on Sept. 25.

What to watch as the 2026 season continues

The most important question surrounding Clemson’s schedule is how the Tigers respond after the LSU defeat.

The remaining schedule provides several opportunities to build momentum, but Clemson cannot afford to overlook the ACC portion of its slate. Miami, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Duke all appear on the conference schedule, while South Carolina provides the traditional regular-season finale.

Clemson also has an Oct. 10 open date before returning to action against Charleston Southern on Oct. 17.

For fans following the Clemson football schedule 2026, the key details to monitor are the results of the early ACC games, the eventual kickoff times for games currently listed as TBA and Clemson’s position in the conference race as November approaches.

The ACC Championship Game is scheduled for Dec. 5, although Clemson’s participation will depend on how the Tigers perform during the regular season.
