Will not build nuclear bomb, ready to reduce uranium and test… Iran’s President’s statement in America

Iranian President Masoud Pajeshkian said that Iran does not want a nuclear bomb. He said Iran was ready for international scrutiny of its nuclear program. It is also ready to reduce the level of uranium enrichment. Pajeshkian blamed the US for the nearly seven-month-old war and said the US had closed the lines of communication.

On the Fox News Special Report program, journalist Brett Baer asked Pageshkian if Iran wanted a nuclear bomb. To this he clearly said, ‘Absolutely not’. He said Iran’s late supreme leader had issued religious edicts several times saying that building weapons of mass destruction was religiously wrong and illegal. Pageshkian made the statement in New York. He has arrived in America to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Iran’s nuclear program is the reason for the war

Iran’s nuclear program has long been under international scrutiny. Iran is enriching uranium to levels above those used for civilian nuclear power. US President Donald Trump cited Iran’s nuclear program as the main reason for launching Operation Epic Fury in February.

Now Pajeshkian said Iran is ready to reduce uranium enrichment levels and allow international inspections to ease tensions. He said Iran was also ready to allow outsiders to investigate its nuclear program.

Referring to the agreement reached in June

Pajeshkian also referred to an agreement between Trump and him in June. It was intended to prevent war and pave the way for a major deal between the US and Iran. Under this, progress was to be made towards a final agreement within 60 days. Pajeshkian said Iran is ready to take that deal forward.

He alleged that the US attacked Iran first instead of dialogue. He said Iran’s supreme leader, scientists, military commanders and government officials had been killed. Pajeshkian said Iran will continue its protests despite US sanctions and pressure. He acknowledged that Iran was struggling with economic problems, but spoke of enduring every hardship.

Appeal to the US to end tensions

Pajeshkian said that Iran does not want war and that it is up to the US to decide to end it. He also accused Israel of inciting war. On the report of the use of Chinese satellite imagery in the attack on the American base in Jordan, Pajeshkian said he did not have direct information about it. Three American soldiers were killed in the attack.
