Pune: A gruesome murder has been reported in Loni Kalbhor, Pune, where a woman, with the help of her lover, killed her husband. The incident took place on Tuesday morning, and within just three hours, the police arrested both accused.

Crime Scene and Swift Police Action

The crime occurred in the Raiwadi area under Loni Kalbhor Gram Panchayat. On Tuesday at around 7 AM, the victim, Ravindra Kashinath Kalbhor (45), was found lying in a pool of blood on a cot outside his house. He had suffered severe head injuries, leading to his immediate death.

As soon as the police were informed, they launched an investigation. Within three hours, they arrested the deceased’s wife, Shobha Ravindra Kalbhor (40), and her lover, Gorakh Tryambak Kalbhor (42).

Illicit Affair and Murder Conspiracy

According to police reports, Shobha and Gorakh were involved in an extramarital affair. Ravindra had become an obstacle in their relationship, prompting them to plot his murder.

On Monday night, around 11 PM, while Ravindra was asleep on the cot outside his house, Shobha and Gorakh attacked him with a spade, hitting him on the head multiple times. The brutal assault led to his instant death. After committing the crime, the duo attempted to destroy the evidence. However, the police acted swiftly, leading to their immediate arrest.

Complaint by Victim’s Brother Led to Arrest

Following the murder, Ravindra’s brother, Bhausaheb Kashinath Kalbhor, filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police promptly registered a case and launched an investigation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajkumar Shinde, stated, “During the investigation, we uncovered crucial information about Shobha and Gorakh’s relationship. Upon questioning, both confessed to the crime.”

Resemblance to Satish Wagh Murder Case

This shocking incident has drawn comparisons to the infamous Satish Wagh murder case that took place a few months ago in Pune. In that case, BJP MLA Yogesh Tilekar’s uncle, Satish Wagh, was killed by his wife and her lover. The similarities between the two crimes have sent shockwaves across Pune.
