Pune, March 27: A sense of panic gripped a family in Bhosari when two young siblings mysteriously went missing on Wednesday morning (March 26). After an intense 12-hour search, the children were finally found asleep in an ST bus in Ghodegaon, thanks to the vigilance of ST bus staff and Pune Police.
Children Go Missing, Parents Rush to Police
The missing children, Ayur Ashish Bhosale (7) and Aditya Bhosale (5), left their home in Shantinagar, Bhosari, on Wednesday morning but failed to return by noon. Their worried parents and relatives searched the area, but when they couldn’t be found, the family approached Bhosari Police Station at 9 PM to file a missing complaint.
Senior Police Inspector Sandeep Ghorpade, Police Sub-Inspector I.R. Shaikh, and officers Dnyaneshwar Salve and Sagar Kadlak quickly started an investigation, assuring the panicked parents that they would locate the children.
ST Bus Staff Finds Children Asleep on Last Seat
While the police were searching for the missing children, an unexpected discovery was made on a Pune-Bhimashankar ST bus (MH 07 C 7379). Bus conductor Ramdas Vijay More and driver Sandeep Manoj Sonawane noticed two children asleep on the last seat of the bus.
When they woke the kids and asked about their destination, the children remained silent, appearing confused and scared. Sensing something was wrong, the ST staff immediately alerted Manchar Bus Depot officials, Sadhana Kalekar and Mohammed Sayyed. (Pune News Today)
Following protocol, the children were safely taken to the Ghodegaon Police Station at 9 PM.
Police Investigation Confirms the Mystery
During the inquiry, Assistant Police Inspector Kiran Bhalekar discovered that the children had mistakenly boarded the wrong bus. Instead of taking a PMPML bus, they accidentally got on an ST bus, which took them all the way to Ghodegaon. (Manchar News)
Upon receiving this information, Bhosari Police immediately informed the worried parents, who rushed to Manchar Police Station at midnight.
