The countdown begins for Hyundai Bayon’s global entry, knocking in India after its October 12 debut

A major update has surfaced regarding Hyundai’s new generation Bayon SUV. The company is going to unveil this new SUV globally on 12 October 2026. It will make its world premiere at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, where Hyundai will present its new European models. The new Bayon will retain its place below Kona in the company’s SUV lineup. The current Bayon has been in the market for almost five years and is built on the i20 platform. Now with the new generation the company is preparing to make many big changes in it.

Hyundai will unveil the new Bayonet during its press conference at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris. At the time of global debut, the company can reveal complete information regarding the design, interior, technology and engine of the SUV. The new Bayon is expected to come with a major update rather than just a minor facelift. Hyundai has already hinted that the exterior of the SUV will get a significant update along with its interior.

The new SUV can be seen with a more modern design than before. It is expected to get new style lights, changed body panels and a more SUV-like look. However, the company will reveal the remaining details regarding the design only during the global debut.

The interior of the SUV will also change

The cabin of the new Hyundai Bayon may also be quite different from the previous model. The company is gearing up to offer a new dashboard layout and more updated technology. The European model is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and connected car features. However, complete details about the screen size and other features will be revealed at the time of the global premiere on October 12.

The new Hyundai Bayon will also arrive in India

The new Bayon is also expected to arrive in India, but its launch here may take some time after the global debut. In India, it may be offered as a compact SUV and placed below the Creta in Hyundai’s lineup. The upcoming model in India is expected to be built on the global or enhanced platform. Its length can exceed 4.2 meters. Talking about the engine, along with the petrol engine, manual and IVT gearbox options are likely to be available.

You can get many premium features

A long list of features can be found in the India-spec Bayonet. It may include features like a large touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and wireless charging. Apart from this, the SUV is also expected to get connected car technology and ADAS i.e. Advanced Driver Assistance System. However, the company is yet to reveal complete information about the features and engines available in India.

The special thing is that Hyundai has started booking for the upcoming model in India. This indicates that the company is gearing up fast for its Indian launch. However, Hyundai is yet to officially announce the launch date of the India-spec Bayonet.
