ICAI released schedule for CA January 2027 exams, Intermediate from 2nd January, Foundation from 3rd

There is a big update for the candidates preparing to become Chartered Accountants (CA). The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the January 2027 exam schedule. ICAI has released the schedule for Chartered Accountants (CA) Foundation and Intermediate exams. As per the schedule released by ICAI, the Chartered Accountants (CA) Foundation will be held from January 3. While the Chartered Accountants (CA) Intermediate exams are proposed to be conducted from January 2. ICAI has clarified that the examination dates are announced under Regulation 22 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.

CA Intermediate Exam till 12th January,

As per the CA 2027 exam schedule released by ICAI, the CA Intermediate exam is scheduled to start from January 2. ICAI has released the schedule of CA Intermediate Group I and Group 2. As per the released schedule, CA Intermediate Group I exams will be held on 2nd, 4th and 6th January 2027. So Group II exams will be held on January 2027 and 2027. The intermediate paper will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm and will be of three hours duration.

CA Foundation Exam till 9th ​​January

As per the CA 2027 exam schedule released by ICAI, the CA Foundation exam is scheduled to start from January 3. Foundation exam will be conducted on 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th January 2027. While for CA foundation exam, paper 1 and 2 will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. Their duration will be three hours. While paper 3 and 4 will be taken from 2 to 4 pm and the duration will be two hours. ICAI has clarified that 15 minutes advance reading time will be given from 1:45 PM to 2 PM for all papers except Foundation Papers 3 and 4.

There will be no change in the examination schedule

ICAI has clarified that there will be no change in the ongoing CA January 2027 exam schedule. For example, if any exam date is declared a public holiday by the central government, state government or local administration, there will be no change in the exam schedule. At the same time, ICAI has also clarified that the January 2027 exam will be held at designated exam centres. However, there must be sufficient number of candidates at the examination centres.
