There is a big update for candidates who have registered for Uttar Pradesh NEET UG Counseling 2026 for MBBS-BDS admission. UP NEET UG Counseling Round 2 Merit List has been released. 3656 seats, more than 33 thousand candidate names

More than 33 thousand candidates have made it to the UP NEET UG 2026 counseling second round merit list. So under the second round, 3656 seats are to be admitted. Of these, 396 seats are for state government medical colleges, while the remaining seats are for state private medical colleges.

Choice filling from 21st September, seat allotment on 25th.

UP Government has changed the Round 2 Counseling Dates. According to the new schedule, after the merit list is declared, the successful candidates can fill their choices till 11 AM on 24 September 2026. That is, successful candidates will be able to fill their preferred college based on selection by going to the counseling portal. Based on that the seats will be allotted, the result of which will be out on September 25, 2026. The allotment letter can be downloaded from September 26 to October 1, 2026.

The security deposit will be forfeited

As per the rules, if a candidate does not take admission in the allotted seat in the second round of counselling, his entire security deposit will be forfeited. Such candidates have to deposit the security deposit again, after which they can participate in the third round of counselling.
