UPSSSC PET 2026 is an important exam for candidates preparing for Group-C Government Jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the PET 2026 schedule. The exam will be conducted from 23 to 25 October 2026. Many Group-C posts including Accountant, Junior Assistant, VDO and X-ray Technician require a PET score to appear in the main exam. Therefore, it is important for candidates to understand the exam pattern, syllabus and negative marking beforehand.
The UPSSSC PET 2026 exam will be held between 23rd to 25th October. This exam will be conducted in offline OMR mode in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10 AM to 12 AM and the second shift from 3 PM to 5 PM. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the commission about a week before the exam.
A total of 100 MCQs will be asked in PET 2026. Each question will carry one mark and candidates will get 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes to solve the paper. There will also be negative marking in the exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. In such a situation candidates have to be careful while answering the questions.
UPSSSC PET Syllabus covers many subjects. In the exam questions will be asked on Indian History, Indian National Movement, Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Constitution and General Science. Apart from this, Elementary Mathematics, General Hindi, Reasoning, Current Affairs and General Awareness will also be part of the exam. Candidates should take time to study all the subjects for better preparation.
To appear in PET, a candidate must have passed at least 10th from a recognized board. Candidate’s age should be between 18 to 40 years. Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in maximum age limit as per government rules.
The percentile score of the candidates is released based on the marks obtained in PET. This score will be valid for one year from the date of declaration of result. During this period, PET score may be required for the relevant Group-C recruitment main examinations to be declared by UPSSSC. Candidates should start practicing from Mock Test and Previous Papers from now on.
