There is an important update for the candidates who are waiting to become Police Constable in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released physical test schedule for direct recruitment of constable and similar post-2025. In the recruitment for 32,679 posts, the candidates who have cleared the written test and DV-PST will now appear for the PET. Physical test will start from 1st October. Success in PET will be required for final selection. Candidates have to keep visiting the board website for the admit card and exam related instructions.
According to UPPRPB, the physical test for the recruitment of constable and similar posts will start from October 1, 2026. This process will continue till October 7 in general districts. At the same time, due to more candidates, the exam will be held in Moradabad, Meerut and Ghaziabad till October 8. October 8 has also been kept as a reserved day for these districts. In other districts, October 7 will be a reserved day.
A 4.8 km race has been fixed for male candidates in PET. This has to be completed in 25 minutes. Candidates who do not complete the race within the stipulated time will not be able to participate in the further selection process.
Women candidates have to complete the 2.4 km race in 14 minutes. Therefore, candidates must pay special attention to their running speed and endurance before the exam. By practicing every day, one can prepare to complete the race in the stipulated time.
The written exam for the recruitment was held on 8, 9 and 10 June 2026. The result was declared on 31 July. After this, successful or provisionally successful candidates in DV-PST are called for PET. Now these candidates have to appear in physical test.
The admit card for physical test will be released on the official website of UPPRPB about a week before the exam. In this you will get information about exam center, race date and reporting time. Candidates are advised to keep checking the website for updates.
