Ramayana Advance Booking Crosses ₹40 Crore Worldwide Ahead of Ranbir Kapoor’s November 5 Release

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming mythological epic Ramayana: Part One is gaining momentum at the global box office, with worldwide advance bookings reportedly crossing the ₹40 crore mark ahead of its November 5 theatrical release.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is attracting considerable interest in international markets, particularly North America. Its overseas pre-sales have become a major part of the film’s early box-office performance.

The latest figures indicate that audiences in India and overseas are showing interest in the big-screen adaptation of the Ramayana, featuring an ensemble cast led by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash.

Ramayana Advance Booking Crosses ₹40 Crore Worldwide

According to trade estimates reported by Indian media outlets, Ramayana: Part One has generated more than ₹40 crore in worldwide advance bookings before its theatrical debut.

The film’s international performance has been particularly notable. North America has emerged as its biggest overseas market, with advance ticket sales receiving a boost following the film’s Los Angeles world premiere.

In India, advance bookings have also gathered pace after an initial delay caused by disagreements between distributors and cinema exhibitors over revenue-sharing terms.

By October 31, the film had recorded approximately ₹19.89 crore in domestic advance bookings, including blocked seats, according to trade tracking figures reported by Telegraph India. More than 4 lakh tickets had reportedly been sold.

Ramayana Movie Advance Booking Overseas Gains Momentum

International markets are playing an important role in the film’s pre-release performance. North America, which includes the United States and Canada, is leading overseas advance sales.

According to trade estimates reported by The Times of India, overseas advance bookings had reached approximately $3.45 million as of October 30.

North America contributed around $2.58 million, making it the strongest international territory for the film. The United Kingdom and Ireland followed with approximately $351,200, while Australia and New Zealand contributed around $313,000.

The film’s international release strategy includes paid preview screenings in North America on November 4, one day before its scheduled worldwide theatrical debut.

These early screenings have provided an additional opportunity to attract audiences ahead of the regular opening-day shows.

Ranbir Kapoor and Yash Lead Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Cast

The film brings together several prominent names from Indian cinema. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays Goddess Sita.

Yash takes on the role of Ravana, with Ravie Dubey appearing as Lakshman and Sunny Deol portraying Lord Hanuman.

The supporting cast includes Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet Singh and several other actors.

Produced by Namit Malhotra, the ambitious project is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. The first installment is scheduled to reach theaters on November 5, 2026, with the second part planned for Diwali 2027.

Ramayana Release Date and International Distribution

The film will release across multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Its international distribution is being handled by Sony Pictures, while Dharma Productions is managing distribution in the Hindi-speaking Indian market.

The production also plans a worldwide IMAX release, giving international audiences an opportunity to experience the film on premium large-format screens.

With advance sales building across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia and India, the film is entering its final pre-release days with significant attention surrounding its theatrical debut.
