Russia is using people from 47 countries in war…Ukraine President Zelensky names all, says- It is also dragging Indians

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of recruiting citizens of 47 countries into its army. According to Zelensky, Moscow is doing this “through deception and manipulation”. At the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Zelensky called on other countries to prevent their citizens from becoming involved in the Russia-Ukraine war.

The President of Ukraine said, “We know that Russia uses citizens of 47 countries in its wars. Ghana, Nepal, Tajikistan, India, Yemen, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Belarus, Sudan, South Africa and many other countries… We see people dying on the battlefield who are not Russians. People from your countries, that is, people from those 47 countries who have reached Russia and tricksters.”

What rules did Zelensky state for other countries including India?

The President of Ukraine spoke to representatives of countries whose citizens he believed were fighting in the war. He asked those countries to protect their citizens.

Putin wants to kill as many people as possible

“Putin is always looking for people who can help him kill more people, kill more people for every kilometer of land, seize more territory and help annex another country, instead of just staying and running his own country,” Zelensky said at the United Nations.

He said, “Don’t let Putin drag you into this war. Limit his scope of action, limit his money, limit his war.”

51 Indians killed

According to data from the Ministry of External Affairs, the Russian Army recruited 227 Indian nationals. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said earlier this month that 139 of them have been discharged from service, while 51 have died. Vikram Misri said New Delhi is in talks with Moscow for the release and return of the remaining Indians.

Zelensky sought to pressure Russia’s ability to raise money for the war. Zelensky also called for measures to limit Russia’s ability to finance and sustain the war. He said Moscow’s oil industry was facing huge pressure. He clarified that Ukraine’s aim is not only to target oil, fuel supplies, factories or ports. Instead, he said, Kiev wants to reduce Russia’s ability to finance the war.
