Manon Fiorot says her upcoming fight with former UFC women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso carries clear title-shot stakes. The two contenders meet Sept. 12 at Noche UFC in Glendale, Arizona, with Fiorot confirming that the UFC has told her the winner will receive the next opportunity to fight for the women’s flyweight championship.
The matchup has become particularly important for the division following the uncertainty surrounding the flyweight championship. Fiorot and Grasso enter the fight as two of the division’s leading contenders, making Saturday’s bout a high-stakes meeting between established UFC names.
Fiorot said the UFC made the significance of the matchup clear to her, describing the fight as decisive for the next challenger in the division. The winner is expected to move into position for a championship opportunity.
Fiorot enters the contest with a 13-2 professional record and is ranked No. 2 in the UFC women’s flyweight division. Grasso, a former champion, is ranked No. 3.
For Fiorot, the fight represents another chance to move closer to UFC gold after establishing herself among the division’s top contenders. She most recently stopped Jasmine Jasudavicius by first-round TKO in October 2025.
Grasso enters the fight with momentum of her own. The former champion snapped a three-fight winless stretch in March when she defeated Maycee Barber by first-round knockout.
Grasso previously won the UFC women’s flyweight championship by submitting Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285 in March 2023. Their rematch at Noche UFC later that year ended in a majority draw.
The Mexican contender now has an opportunity to put herself back in championship contention by defeating Fiorot.
The Fiorot-Grasso matchup is scheduled for Sept. 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale as part of Noche UFC. Both fighters are positioned near the top of the division, with the outcome carrying direct implications for the next title challenger.
With the UFC identifying the winner as the next title challenger, Manon Fiorot has more than a victory at stake. A win would put her one step away from another opportunity to compete for the UFC women’s flyweight championship, while Grasso is looking to reclaim her place at the top of the division.
